A brand new job, smarter citizens and a round of fixes for police and medics.
THE REPORTER JOB (NEW)
- Join at the Unity News newsroom in Little Seoul (camera icon,
/join) - Take a lead in the News app (F1): hold-ups, break-ins, hit-and-runs, patients, arrests, funerals, races
- Press G and ask the people involved your own questions - the city tells you when you're close
- Reach the person the story is about: the patient in the Pillbox ER, the suspect, the arrested in the cells. Text anyone on your story from the Citizens app
- Dig for the exclusive - a secret only the right person tells you, if you ask kindly
- Take photos, save quotes, file it - the newsroom writes it up
- $500 to $1,500 a story. Your first story walks you through it step by step
- Each story gets its own map marker; Case notes > Route brings it back
THE NEWS APP
- Read, react and comment on every story
- Story of the Week: vote - the top three win $5,000 / $2,000 / $1,000
- New
/topboard: Stories published
CITIZENS
- They remember your last conversation - close the card and press G again, it's all still there
- Far more conversations before they switch to short answers, and their short answers now fit what you said
- They no longer agree to follow you or make plans they can't keep
- Robbing a store, house, ATM or bank, or hurting a citizen, makes the news
POLICE AND MEDICS
- A 911 call must be taken within 45 seconds - the dispatch card counts down
- The map pin marks the patient's exact spot, and bystanders no longer crowd the injured
- Dispatch calls count on the LSPD and LSFMD
/topboards again - No more medical calls inside the hospital
FIXES
- Fixed multiple instances of the anti-cheat falsely triggering.
