New: Fishing at Mirror Park lake
- Head to Mirror Park lake (marked on the map, also listed in
/nb). The fisherman there sells a fishing rod for $500 and bait at $900 for 10. Press E beside him. - Stand on one of the blue rings on the shore and press E. You fish in first person with the rod in your hands.
- Hold the left mouse button to cast and let go to throw. Wait for the bobber to go under, then press E to strike. Strike too early and you scare the fish off.
- Fight the fish: hold the left mouse button to reel it in. When it runs, a PULL arrow shows - hold A or D to pull the rod that way. Watch the tension bar: let go of the reel when it turns red (HIGH TENSION) or the line snaps, but don't stop reeling for too long or the hook slips out.
- The ring around the fish shows how much fight it has left. A tired fish comes in much faster.
- Six kinds of fish. Most are worth $250 to $600, around $400 on average. The rare Golden Trout is worth about $2,000.
- Sometimes you pull up a lockpick, a bag of pot or a bag of crack instead of a fish.
- Every fish uses one bait. You can carry 5 fish at a time - sell them at the counter of any 24/7 with
/sellfish. - Your rod wears out after 40 fish. The fisherman services it for $150.
/fishingshows your rod, your bait and the fish in your cooler with what they're worth.- The map, location and money are hidden while you fish - only the chat stays.
