New: Ammu-Nation gun stores
- Nine Ammu-Nation counters around the map are open (gun icon on the map, also listed in
/nb). Walk up to the counter and press E. - They sell basic weapons only - nothing automatic: Pistol, SNS Pistol, Heavy Pistol, Pump Shotgun, Musket, Sniper Rifle, Knife and Baseball Bat.
- You need to be level 2 or higher and have a weapon licence. The screen shows each weapon's stats, rounds and price, and tells you why you can't buy one if something is missing.
/pathnow has a "Buy a gun at Ammu-Nation" step.
The NPC police got tougher
- Officers no longer just stand and aim at you. In a shootout they move up on you in turns, one moving while his partner covers, and once you stop shooting they rush you.
- An officer within about 10 m tazes you, and one who reaches you tackles you to the ground, armed or not. Then they cuff you.
- Break free: when they go to cuff you, a bar appears - mash SPACE to fill it in time and you break free, knock the officers on you down and get a few seconds' head start. You get 3 tries in one chase. The 4th time they cuff you, it's straight to jail.
- Killing people in the street now gets the police called: a killing is always reported, and shooting someone usually is. A killing starts at 2 stars, and every 3 bodies adds another star, up to 5 - even while they are already after you.
- Fighting back against someone who came at you first is self-defence and isn't reported.
- Keep shooting your gun in the street and a witness will call it in.
New cars
- Luxury Autos (Rockford Hills) now sells the Invetero Coquette for $150,000.
- Legion Square Motorcycles now sells the Western Bagger for $50,000.
Taxi
- Your next local customer comes sooner the higher your taxi level: 5:00 at level 1, down to 2:00 at level 5, with a NEXT CUSTOMER countdown while you're at the wheel.
- Customers now wait within 35 m of where they're shown, and get in within 15 seconds (a countdown shows it) - no more waiting forever for them to board.
- Fairer ride ratings: braking hard no longer counts as a crash, and you lose no points when someone rear-ends you or hits you while you're stopped.
Window Washer
- Gusts are easier: just keep tapping SPACE to steady yourself - no more timing it.
- The squeegee is easier: start near the top and quick swipes count.
Events
- The wealth race now counts everything you earn - jobs, crime, paychecks - and spending money no longer sets you back.
Police and medics
- Dispatch calls (
/acceptcall) can now only be taken from one of your faction's vehicles.
Fixes
- Fixed job and faction vehicles disappearing while people were driving them.
